Live performance at ArtSearch 2024 symposium, ligeti zentrum Hamburg

I’ve been invited to perform Saatgut Proxy at this year’s ArtSearch symposium, hosted by ligeti zentrum in Hamburg. The performance will take place at the evening of October 24th at production lab.

Saatgut Proxy is an experimental setup in Pure Data that generates both randomized and repeatable pathways through the latent space of two neural audio model-architectures developed at IRCAM (RAVE, vschaos2). I’ve trained neural nets based on these architectures using my musical body of work as dataset. By this, I’m setting a common aesthetic baseline for a shared human/AI creative practice I call Latent Jamming.

ArtSearch was launched at the HfMT Hamburg in 2016 and was held for the second time in 2020. The third symposium in 2024 will once again aim to bring researchers and artists together to discuss current developments in the field of artistic research.

The ligeti zentrum, located in Hamburg Harburg, was founded as a joint project by the Hamburg University of Music and Drama (HfMT), the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW) and the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). It operates as a knowledge translation project at the intersection between art and science.
